Mei Lan Fang BSc

Research Assistant

Mei Lan Fang is a Research Assistant at CARMHA and works closely with Drs. Benedikt Fischer, Elliot Goldner and Nadine Nakamura. She completed her Bachelor of Science Honors Degree in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University and is now pursuing a Master’s of Public Health. Mei Lan’s past research experience includes her involvement in the PepT1 Project focusing on pharmaceutical transport in the small intestine at Manchester University, England as well as her role in various Workplace Mental Health Projects at CARMHA. Her current research interests lie in the determination of social factors that correspond with health-related risks in vulnerable groups. Presently at CARMHA, she is involved in assisting Principal Investigators with projects focusing on substance use and misuse, psychiatric wait times and the social determinants affecting immigrant health.
